Lebanon Pagers Explosion: Latest News and Updates on the incident

A devastating incident to place in  Lebanon, In which pagers exploded, took the lives of 9 people, and injured an 8-year-old girl. So far no one Can tell the exact of the Golden but Iran-backed Hisbullah blamed Israel for the attacks. However, Hizballah has not claimed responsibility for the attacks.

However,  exports believe that this occurred from the tempering with the devices before the delivery to the customers,  rather than a theory of a cyber security attack leading to the heating of the Lithium-ion batteries to cause explosions.

Experts think these particular pagers would have been tempered rather than all the pagers that are being used by customers all around the world, and they do not need to worry about the safety of their pagers.

Pagers Can be used to send messages without the Internet although pagers lost their popularity in the era of cell phones or mobile phones, they still find their application in certain fields like medical, etc.

A Cyber Security Professor at NYU, Justin Cappos, Explains that it is possible a battery catch fire due to overheating, especially Lithium-ion batteries but it seems like these pagers were Intentionally tempered to explode when triggered, unlike the other pagers containing lithium batteries

Security experts in Lebanon think the attacks were coordinated and pre-planned.

Taiwanese Electronics Manufacturer (Gold Apollo) Has come under Fire After the damaged pagers showed the name of the brand. However, The founder of the company Hsu Ching-kuang, CategorIcally denied their involvement in the production of these pagers that exploded in Lebanon.

He further said that pages were built by a European company that bought their rights from Gold Apollo to manufacture pagers.

“Of course, I feel like a victim, I’ve been going about my own business for 30 years, why am I suddenly roped into this?” Hsu Ching-Kuang cried while giving an interview with the journalist.

However, an unknown source told the New York Times journalist that Israel hid the explosives in the pagers and a switch to Trigger the device whenever needed.
