Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio who acted in different Karate Kid films are coming together for the new Karate Kid Movie.
This picture will be made under the banner of Sony Pictures. The movie will be directed by Jonathan Entwistle and will be produced by Karen Rosenfelt. The new Karate Kid film will be written by Rob Lieber. It will be premiered on December 13, 2024 in theaters.
While the plot is kept secret, however, it is perceived that Jackie Chan will step into the shoes of Mr Han a kung fu master who coached Jaden Smith’s Dre Parker in the 2010 remake. Ralph Macchio will recapitulate the role of Daniel LaRusso from Netflix’s Cobra Kai series and the original Karate Kid film trilogy.
However, The inclusion of Cobra Kai’s events in the new Karate Kid film is still to be seen. On the other hand, Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio announced on YouTube the search for global casting for titular characters.
Furthermore, Cobra Kai is anticipated for its sixth and final season earlier this current year.
