Stabbing At Kroger In Waynedale Puts The Employee Life In Danger!

The Fort Wayne Police are in search of a suspect involved in a stabbing at Kroger in Waynedale, that left the employee in critical condition.

Fire crews, Police, TRAA ambulance, and Allen County Sheriff’s officers immediately responded to the grocery store on Bluffton Road just after 11 a.m,

Reporters saw the victim being carried out of the store on the stretcher, with chest compressions being performed.

Sgt. Jeremy Webb, FWPD’s spokesperson, said that conflicting theories are surfacing about what happened, but the witnesses are being questioned to gather the complete information.

Webb also said that the disturbance was reported in the morning when the male suspect left came back into the store, and stabbed a female employee of the store. Customers and employees started giving first aid to the victim until the emergency relief workers arrived. Then, the victim was taken back to the hospital by the relief workers.

Reportedly the suspect left by the car, and police are still searching for the suspect, and trying to match the description of the suspect.

The suspect and victim are said to be unfamiliar with each other but Webb said “Maybe some words were exchanged” when the suspect first visited the store.

“The Kroger family is saddened by the terrible news we’re hearing. The safety of our associates and customers is always our priority. Right now, our team is working with the police to assist with the investigation in any way we can. We’ll add further comments as we learn more about the incident. The store will be closed until further notice.” This was the statement issued by The Manager of Corporate Affairs for Kroger’s Central Division.

The Kroger Store on Bluffton Road is shut down until further orders, the officials confirmed.
