Honda Is Planning To Replace Fuel Pumps By Recalling 2.6 Million US Vehicles

The automobile giant, Honda has decided to recall 2.6 million US vehicles for the purpose of replacing fuel pumps and removing the fault responsible for a car crash.

This step will affect the models of Honda that were launched between 2017 to 2022, naming Honda Civic, Honda Accord, and Acura TLX

The news released by Honda on Thursday explained the issue with the fuel pump impeller, which can result in the fuel pump becoming inoperative.

The statement said, “If the fuel pump module is inoperative, the engine may not start or can stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash or injury,” 

However, the company said it has not got any complaints regarding the fuel pump impeller issue till now.

Honda’s US subsidiary will notify the car owners in phases as the replacement parts become available, said by the company.

The company also clarified in the federal recall report that the dealers would be notified between December 2023 to February 2024.
