The company has announced that Versus Evil will shut down. Versus Evil was formed in Baltimore in September 2013 and provided numerous games.
The company tweeted, “Today is a sad day, After 10 wonderful years, Versus Evil is shutting its doors. We’ve loved bringing you the best indie games we could find and sharing so many happy memories with you all, our amazing community! From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU for everything!”
Lance James, head of Versus Evil Production said, “This wasn’t a Versus Evil decision or choice.”
With this news coming up, the future of Versus Evil’s upcoming titles: Monolith: Requiem of the Ancients and Lil’ Guardsman remain uncertain. It will be interesting to see if these titles will be picked up by the tinyBuild, or new publishing partner will be required for these titles.
